Inspection in Cow Creek Canyon Left  Asst. General Manager Charlie McClean (under numbers) and General Manager Bob Libby are on the ground to inspect the train as it rolls through a grade crossing in Cow Creek Canyon.  The problem: a sticking brake had corrected itself by this time.

Right  The Talgo is eased across Cow Creek and into Tunnel 2.  Clearances inside the tunnel were a major concern with this tall (17+ ft.) locomotive.

Deep in Cow Creek Canyon, Amtrak plunges into Tunnel 4. Left  In the remote depths of Cow Creek Canyon, CORP tracks take Amtrak into Tunnel 4.

Right  Afternoon shadows are lengthening as the Talgo pulls to a halt in Glendale, Oregon.  A good sized crowd showed up to tour the train before it was shut down for the night.
