In April of 1996 the Central Oregon and
Pacific was contracted to operate a rare mileage passenger special.
This event was not widely publicized and quite expensive, but provided
the general public with the first opportunity to tour the Siskiyou Line
since the Southern Pacific discontinued service nearly 45 years before.
Greg Brown was at trackside on April 20, 1996 and took the following photos.
